Jeff has been a borough councillor for Laindon Park since 2018 and a county councillor for the Laindon Park & Fryerns Division since 2017. As a borough councillor, he is currently Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing, Leisure, Arts & Culture.
He is also the Basildon Council representative to the Basildon Dementia Action Alliance, the Basildon Health and Wellbeing Partnership and District Councils' Health and Wellbeing Forum and the Essex Police, Fire and Crime Panel, as well as a non-executive Director of Sempra Homes, the Council's wholly-owned house-building company.
At County Hall, Jeff is currently Chairman of the Health Overview Policy and Scrutiny Committee and also serves as a substitute member on the Development and Regulation Committee and the People and Families Policy and Scrutiny Committee. He is also the County Council representative on the Adoption Panel (North), the Essex Local Highways Panel for Basildon, the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and the Youth Strategy Group for Basildon.
Jeff is a proud resident of the Five Links Estate. He previously worked in retail for many years and is currently a school governor.
