Craig will also be seeking re-election to Basildon Council at the 2024 Local Elections in May, alongside Cllrs. Yetunde Adeshile and Gary Canham. He will also be the Conservative Candidate in the by-election in the Pitsea County Division.
Craig has been a councillor for Pitsea South-East Ward since 2018. He is currently Cabinet Member for Economic Stimulus & Tourism. He also sits on the Planning Committee.
He is also a Basildon Council representative on the Basildon Bus and Rail Forum, the Pitsea Waste Management Centre - Public Liaison Group, the South Essex Active Travel Sponsoring Board, the Superfast Essex Steering Group, the Transport East Forum and PATROL.
Craig lives in Pitsea and works for Standard Life, part of the Phoenix Group, and is an expert on pensions and lifetime savings.

Pitsea South-East falls within the Pitsea Division of Essex County Council. Craig worked closely alongside the late county councillor, Luke Mackenzie, on county issues such as highways.
